'Deadpool 2' to Resume Production, 48 Hours After Death on Set
Deadpool 2 is set to resume production on Wednesday (August 16) morning, just two days after a stuntwoman was killed during an accident on the set of the movie.
Joi “SJ” Harris died while filming a motorcycle stunt. She is credited as the first African-American female professional road racer and this was the first time she performed in a movie as a stuntwoman.
Production on the film, starring Ryan Reynolds, was halted immediately after the accident happened on Monday. Work will resume on Wednesday, according to Deadline.
We continue to send our thoughts and condolences to SJ‘s family during this difficult time.
