Sugababe reveals joyful baby news after struggle to conceive

It’s been a while since we’ve heard a peep out of anyone from the group formerly known as Sugababes.

So it comes as a lovely to surprise to hear some rather fabulous news about one of its members.

Heidi Range has announced that she is pregnant.

The Liverpool-born singer and former star of Dancing On Ice has revealed that she and her property developer Alex Partakis are to parents.

The happy nappy news comes just months after they got hitched in a super romantic ceremony on Florence.

Speaking to Hello magazine, the chart-topping star has revealed that once they’d got married last September, the pair of them had hoped to have a child almost straight away.

Only it proved not to be as easy as hoped.

“As each month went by, I would take a test and I got used to it always being negative,” Heidi explained.

“So when it came back positive it was a shock.

“Alex was asleep and I came running into the bedroom with the stick, saying, ‘Is that a cross? Am I pregnant?’

The 34-year-old star reckoned the conception coincided with she and Alex moving into their dream home recently.

“We moved into our house at Easter after spending two years renovating it and we think that was the same weekend we conceived,” she shared.

‘It was like it was meant to be.

“It was so special that it happened in our first family house together.

“It’s made our home have this lovely feeling about it.”

Heidi and 37-year-old Alex say they don’t know the sex of their unborn baby as yet, but are planning to share all at a gender reveal party!

Heidi and Alex met in early 2014 after being matched up by they personal trainer.
