Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick opens up over marriage split
Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick has opened up to Lorraine about her marriage split.
The actress was married to wife Rosie Nicholls for just 12 months before they separated.
The TV host told her she was “really sorry to hear you and your wife have split up, but you’re still really good pals?”
To which Michelle replied: “We’re all good, we’re still friends.”
As Lorraine went on to praise her for being able to stay mates, Michelle said they still jointly cared for their two dogs as well, before adding the job put things under pressure.
“It is [difficult] with this job especially the last few years I’ve been really busy.”

At the time news of her separation broke, Michelle revealed to the Daily Star: “Unfortunately, Rosie and I split last year but are still good friends. It was one of those things where we did drift apart.
“We had a big fairy tale wedding and I still love that day. It was brilliant.”
Michelle said then they were still friends, adding: “I grew out of love and she became more of my best friend. Like, we were living as friends, not a married couple.
“We’re still living together, just in separate rooms while the divorce goes through, but it’s underway.”
The star also opened up to Lorraine about how fans turn to her for support on coming out.
Lorraine asked: “Do you get a lot of women in touch who are thinking about coming out?”
“Absolutely, I get a lot of messages,” Michelle replied. “If I can help one person that’s great, that’s my job done.
“When I was 20/21 discovering my sexuality I didn’t really have anyone. There was nobody I could have looked up to way back then.”
Currently involved in the trial of Pierce Harris for raping his wife Rhona Goskirk, there’s some heavy scenes coming up for Michelle’s character, Vanessa.
Wednesday night’s episode saw Vanessa lie on the stand to try to help her friend, but she was quickly caught out and may have ruined the whole case for Rhona.
Let’s hope not.
