Two Alabama Senior Women Tell Heartbreaking Truth About Roy Moore Allegations and Our Past

These senior voters spoke candidly about an era where the exploitation of women was completely normalized.

A new video by Vice News features two women who live at a senior home in Huntington explaining the realities of an era where behavior like Roy Moore's was a normal occurence that got swept under the rug.

Marjorie Reese told interviewer Alexandra Jaffe , “Mean teachers touched us, maybe inappropriately, but we just didn’t say anything. That was part of life… The women, you know, the underdog or whatever, we always had to do what the men said."

Reese told Vice News she'll be casting her ballot for Moore in the upcoming special election because she doesn't believe the allegations are "proven."

Margaret Tudor, also a native Alabamian said, “The things that happened to women back then, they didn’t tell it because they wouldn’t have been believed."

She plans to cast her vote for Democrat Doug Jones.
