Alec Baldwin, fresh from his Emmy as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for impersonating President Trump, returned to SNL for the 43rd season opener. Saturday Night Live comes off a banner year, also winning Outstanding Guest Actor in Comedy Series for Dave Chappelle, Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for Melissa McCarthy's viral portrayal of Sean Spicer, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series, again, for Kate McKinnon and for the first time since 1993, Outstanding Variety, Musical or Comedy Series for SNL.
The "Chaos President" sketch,featured Sarah Huckabee Sanders (Aidy Bryant) "people listen to me because I'm no nonsense, but i'm all nonsense", Mayor Carmen YulÃn Cruz (Melissa Villaseñor) of San Juan wondering whether President Trump realizes Puerto Ricans are US Citizens, Jeff Sessions (Kate McKinnon) pleading "Don't tweat me" and Senator Chuck Schumer (Alex Moffat) stopping by for a slice.
Take a break from hurricanes, nuclear war and national embarrassment and have a laugh on SNL.
