Stephen Colbert Has All the Proof He Needs Rex Tillerson Called Trump a 'Moron'

"Yeah, he totally said it."

“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert on Wednesday mocked Rex Tillerson’s impromptu press conference, during which the secretary of state declined to deny reports he once called the president “a moron.”

Tillerson began his press conference by “declaring his love for his job,” but as Colbert reminded the audience, the secretary once told reporters he “didn’t want this job” in the first place, and only took it because his wife told him to.

“It’s going to be an awkward night at the Tillerson house,” Colbert joked.

The host then turned to Tillerson’s assertion he never “considered” leaving his job as secretary of state.

“Considered leaving this post? No,” Colbert said, mocking Tillerson. “Dreamt about it? Yes. Fantasized about it while pleasuring myself in an oversized chair? No comment.”

Referencing reports Tillerson called the president a “moron,” Colbert said the secretary “stood in front of the nation and vouched for Donald Trump’s intelligence, which means he categorically denies the moron thing, right?”

Wrong.

“I’m not going to deal with petty stuff like that,” Tillerson told reporters during his press conference.

“Yeah, he totally said it,” Colbert said.
