Pixel 2After impressing the tech industry with its first phone last year, Google just announced its follow up: the Pixel 2.

If you're planning on picking up "Google's iPhone" when it ships later this month, you'll want to have some accessories that work well with it.

Whether it's Bluetooth earbuds to help you get adjusted to the lack of a headphone jack, or a USB-C cable that won't fry your phone, you can find the essentials you'll need below.

A case

Many phones in the Android world are budget-friendly, but the Pixel 2 isn’t one of them. If you’re going to pay for a premium phone, do yourself a favor and protect it with a case. I’ve had good experiences with Spigen’s cases in the past on the iPhone side, and its Pixel 2 option is shock resistant without adding a lot of additional bulk.

A long charging cable

The Pixel 2 charges through a USB-C port, so it’ll pay to have a couple of extra charging cables around for when you travel. Anker’s is 6ft long, nylon braided, and comes with an 18-month warranty.

Bluetooth headphones

Speaking of USB-C ports, that’s the only port you’ll find on the Pixel 2; the headphone jack is officially gone. You’ll want a pair of Bluetooth headphones and can consult our guides to find the best earbuds, on-ear, and over-ear headphones.

If you want to keep things simple and affordable, iFrogz’s Impulse Duo earbuds are a good choice. They’re not going to impress audiophiles, but they sound pretty good and have an incredibly convenient design.
