WATCH: Trump Confuses Two Female Reporters and Threatens to Shut Down the Government in One Press Conference

It was a mess.

“You’re going to give it to her again?” That was Trump's question for Sauli Niinistö during a press conference on Monday. The only problem was that the Finnish president wasn't calling on the same reporter at all.

Niinistö politely informed him of his mistake, and the room burst into laughter. The journalist in question then jumped into the discussion, alerting Trump that there are “many” blond women in Finland.

Things got more uncomfortable from there.

Not only did the president continue to threaten a shutdown of the U.S. government, which would impact countless Texas residents displaced by Hurricane Harvey, but he even defended his pardon of Joe Arpaio, the former Arizona sheriff convicted of contempt of court after refusing an order to stop targeting Latinos for detention. Trump told the press that he thought the announcement would get better ratings during a natural disaster. It's unclear whether he was joking or not.
