Seth Meyers Takes Trump Apart in Emotional, Must-Watch Monologue
Seth Meyers has made no secret of his taste distaste for Donald Trump. But on Wednesday, he dropped the comedic hijinks to denounce him in earnest, starting with the president's startling comment that many of the Unite the Right marchers were "very fine people."
"There are no 'fine people' marching with Nazis and white supremacists," Meyers responded. "No one gets accidentlly caught up in a white supremacist rally."
Meyers called the president's logic "twisted" and mocked him for ending the now-infamous press conference by bragging about a winery he allegedy owns in Charlottesville.
"Trump isn’t just a racist, he’s also a narcissist," Meyers said. "He defends the white nationalist movement both because he’s racist and because they show up and they chant his name and they show him love. And his brain disease makes it impossible for him to denounce anyone who supports him."
Then came the knockout: "He showed us again who he really is: a lying racist who’s desperate for praise.”
