Donald Trump Looked Directly at the Sun During Eclipse Without Glasses

Donald Trump looked up at the sun on Monday (August 21) during the 2017 Solar Eclipse without the proper protective eyewear to keep his vision safe.

The moment lasted only a second where the President looked upwards, and someone from the crowd watching reportedly screamed “don’t look!”

Moments later, Trump, his wife Melania, and their son Barron put on the proper eclipse glasses to look up and view the phenomenon. You can watch a clip of them taking in the sight below.

Scientists have warned against looking up directly at the sun during the eclipse because it can damage your vision permanently.
