After fake pregnancy announcement, Corrie’s Katie McGlynn now ‘marries’ best friend

If we know one thing about the cast of Corrie, they love a good wedding.

But while many, like Samia Ghadie’s big day last year, are lavish and packed full of cast mates, some are rather low key ones.

Just like the one pictured below.

This week actress Katie McGlynn looked like she had tied the knot in a quickie ceremony in Manchester, accompanied by a pal dressed as a gladiator.

She and best mate Lee Bennett were spotted dressed up in white wedding dresses looking rather smitten.

The pair even posed for a romantic kiss outside a makeshift chapel.

So has the sassy Street star really gone and tied the knot in secret?

She and her openly gay mate Lee were merely visiting the touring FriendsFest exhibition, which features sets and props from the popular TV sitcom.

The wedding dress pic was merely an homage to the Friends scene in which Ross and Rachel get hitched in a chapel in Vegas after a night of downing mini bar drinks.

So sadly no, not a real wedding, which bearing in mind Lee is gay, is a good thing for Katie.

But we shouldn’t be surprised by these rib-tickling larks as Katie is Corrie’s resident prankster.

And who doesn’t need one of them in their lives, eh?

They’re just perfect for when you’re feeling blue. What more could you ask for than a colleague to lark about and put a smile back on your face?

Well the cast of Corrie must be thrilled to have Katie on set, as she is always playing pranks.

This “wedding” joke isn’t the first time that pesky Katie has tried to fool us with Lee.

Back in July, her flamboyant pal cheekily stole Katie’s phone and Tweeted: “So excited to share the news that me and Lee Bennett are having a babrooon together. #Gayby”.

Bizarrely, people actually believed the message and started showering her with her congratulations.

In the end, Katie had to come clean and posted what really happened with an apology.

So folks, no wedding just yet.
