J.K. Rowling Slams Trump for Snubbing Boy in a Wheelchair

J.K. Rowling has spoken out to slam President Trump after he appeared to ignore a boy in a wheelchair’s attempt to shake his hand.

While greeting a group of people on Friday (July 28), the little boy in the wheelchair held his hand in the air and Trump shook several other people’s hands, except his.

An extended cut of the video does show that Trump greeted the boy when he entered the room before his speech. The video that is going viral shows the president leaving the room after the speech.

Rowling posted the video on her Twitter account along with the Maya Angelou quote, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them.”

Trump imitated a disabled reporter. Now he pretends not to see a child in a wheelchair, as though frightened he might catch his condition. This monster of narcissism values only himself and his pale reflections. The disabled, minorities, transgender people, the poor, women (unless related to him by ties of blood, and therefore his creations) are treated with contempt, because they do not resemble Trump,” Rowling wrote.
