Celebs Praise McCain for 'No' Vote to Defeat Obamacare 'Skinny Repeal'
John McCain was the deciding vote to take down the Republicans’ health care plan in a vote that took place in the middle of the night!
The Arizona senator, who is currently back on the Senate floor despite his battle with brain cancer, voted no on the “skinny repeal” of Obamacare. This made the vote 51-49.
McCain joined fellow Republican senators Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska in voting against Majority Leader Mitch McConnell‘s proposal to repeal part of Obama‘s Affordable Care Act.
This is a huge blow to President Trump and celebs took to Twitter early Friday morning (July 28) to praise McCain for defecting from the other Republicans. Read what they said below!
Thanks to the Senators who voted to kill that stupid, heartless bill. Let's stay vigilant. It's not over.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. For not being careless and "loyal". For being prudent. And for fighting. https://t.co/nnOZ8sgEJO

The Senate floor should be required to play the people's court theme song over the speakers. It would really up the production value.

McCain just did something awesome. And profound. But it was Murkowski and Collins who've been holding their ground all along. Thank you all.

Don't think the patriarchy exists? Look at how much the coverage is about McCain being decider while Murkowski/Collins were no's from start.
