Get six months free Netflix if you own a Google Pixelbook, Samsung Chromebook Pro or Plus
Chrome OS’ stripped-down, web-based ecosystem is a perfect platform for streaming apps, particularly if you happen to own a top-tier Chromebook with a gorgeous display like, say, the Google Pixelbook.
To celebrate this marriage made in media heaven, Google is currently offering six free months of Netflix to anyone who has bought its $999 2-in-1 laptop, as well as anyone who owns a Samsung Chromebook Pro or Chromebook Plus.
The offer is based on Netflix’s awkwardly titled “Two Screens at a Time Streaming Plan” which costs $10.99 a month, bringing the total saving to a tasty $65.94. The discount is applicable to any tier, so if you’re looking to stream 4K content or are after increased multi-screen support you can cash in against a higher tier if you wish.
While the freebie is primarily advertised towards those who have yet to sign-up for a Netflix subscription, existing users with one of the selected Chromebooks can also redeem the offer against their account balance. This should show in the billing section of your account after you’ve confirmed the offer.
Users who are eligible for the promotion can register their discount on the Chromebook Offers page here. There is a deadline, however, so be sure to claim your six free months by December 31st.
For users outside the US, it seems like the offer can be redeemed against Netflix accounts in other countries, although this isn’t mentioned in the T&Cs. Let us know in the comments if you’ve managed to snag the credit in your region.
Samsung Plus and Pro owners can also redeem $20 in Google Play credit from the offers page. In addition, all Chromebook users can grab 100 GB of Google Drive storage for two years and a bumper car pack for the Android racing game, Asphalt 8.
