Rachel Maddow Doesn't Want Donald Trump to Fire Jeff Sessions

She's worried about the person who will replace him.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow said on Friday's show that she doesn't want President Donald Trump to fire U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Her concern is that Trump will appoint an attorney general who could interfere with the Russia investigation to a greater degree.

“If [Trump] gets rid of Sessions, he’s going to put in somebody who will not be recused,” Maddow said.

“If you think the Russia attack and the possibility that the Trump campaign is in on it is a serious national security matter for this country, what’s worse: having an attorney general of the United States, a serving attorney general who is up to his neck in that scandal, or not having that attorney general who is up to his neck in that scandal?”
