The INSIDER Summary: Gal Gadot will host the second episode of the 43rd season of "SNL" Saturday. During a conversation at the 92Y in New York City Sunday, the "Wonder Woman" actress told the crowd she's a bit nervous about her monologue, especially with her Israeli accent. The actress said her fear is "to speak like a dummy" on live television. Actress Gal Gadot will be hosting "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, and while she has no problem taking down villains in this summer's hit "Wonder Woman," she has a little trepidation about doing a live show.
"[HFPA president] Meher [Tatna] and I were talking behind stage about how nervous we are doing this," Gadot said of speaking on stage during a conversation at the 92nd Street Y Sunday evening that INSIDER attended. "It's [SNL] gonna be crazy. I love this show."
"That's my fear — to speak like a dummy," Gadot continued as she stumbled across saying the word "love" with her Israeli accent.
Gadot will host the second episode of the 43rd season of the NBC late-night show with musical guest Sam Smith October 7.
Later in the conversation, an audience member asked point-blank whether or not the 32-year-old was nervous about her first time hosting. She quickly said yes.
"Improv, yeah I did, but never in America on Saturday night. I can barely say 'Saturday Night Live,'" Gadot joked to much laughter from the crowd ,as she was slightly tripped up again by her accent. "I'm thinking about the monologue and I'm like, 'Ahh.' Say 'Saturday Night Live.' But I am excited."
Gadot told the crowd at the 92Y she'll start rehearsing for the live show Monday in New York City.
