9 tech gadgets you'll want at your next tailgate

While the main parts of a tailgate — food, drinks, and music — haven't changed, the tech world lets you up your tailgate game.
These nine products will help take your tailgate to the next level by providing you with entertainment, helping you perfectly cook your food, and giving your gadgets enough juice to get you through the game.
A generator
If you want to keep the party going, you're going to need a power source — so you'd better pick up a generator.
Lifan's 2000 watt option has four outlets and can run for eight hours off of one gallon of gas at half load. That should be enough power to get you through a few hours of hanging with friends with a small TV and antenna plugged in.

A small TV
If you want your tailgate to have a visual part, this Samsung TV is perfect. At 24 inches, it's big enough for you to glance at from a few feet away, but small enough to easily set up at games. Whether you want to hook up a phone to one of its HDMI ports to watch clips of your team from the last season, or the other team's greatest fails, it'll be pretty entertaining.
It's only 720P, but at this size and for this use case, going up to 1080p isn't going to be beneficial. When not at tailgates, this would be the perfect TV to stick in the corner of a kitchen.

An HDTV antenna
If you want to get fancy and watch live TV during your tailgate, this is the antenna you should buy. With a 50-mile radius and amplification, this antenna should be powerful enough to get you a few channels. Watching live TV at a tailgate is more about showing off how cool your setup is, but like the TV I recommended, this is something you could end up using at home.
The benefit of an HDTV antenna is free access to all the major networks in full, uncompressed HD. Which channels you get will be determined by the strength of your antenna and where you live, and our HDTV antenna guide goes more in-depth with what you need to know.
