CNN's John King explained that recent reporting show special prosecutor Robert Mueller is looking closely at possible obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump.
Mueller's focus on a dishonest statement by Trump designed to protect his son from allegations of collusion is clear evidence that the investigation is focusing on obstruction.
“[T]his is yet another flashing light that the special counsel is spending a lot of time, a lot of resources on the question of obstruction of justice—potential obstruction of justice by the president of the United States,” King said. “This is about conduct by president of the United States.”
