Jimmy Kimmel Pinpoints One of Trump's Most Dangerous and All-Consuming Obsessions

The late night host sounds off on the president's decision to ditch DACA.

Jimmy Kimmel ripped President Donald Trump for setting into motion a plan that could end with the deportation of 800,000 young Americans.

The late night TV host said the decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program appeared to be part of Trump’s vendetta against his predecessor.

“It seems like his main agenda is just to undo everything Obama did,” Kimmel said. “I hope he doesn’t bring bin Laden back to life.”

Kimmel said the president’s decision would have devastating consequences for nearly a million innocent Americans — and he pointed out that Trump had married two immigrants himself.

“If these kids want to be American, they have to do it the right way — by marrying Donald Trump,” Kimmel said.

He then showed a mock ad backing the DACA program that featured Trump’s three eldest children, Ivanka, Donald Jr. and Eric.

“President Trump has rescinded DACA, a program designed to protect the children of immigrants,” the voiceover read. “It’s time to send a signal to Washington: Children are not to blame.”

“These children, for instance, can’t help that their mother was an Eastern European immigrant,” the ad continued, showing Trump’s children. “These DREAMers work hard, to put shoes on American feet,” it said of Ivanka, “and to do whatever these two do,” it added about Don Jr. and Eric.

“Tell Congress to protect these children of immigrants, no matter how terrible their parents are,” the ad concluded.
