Incredible footage reveals the microscopic world around us

The 2017 Nikon Small World in Motion Photomicrography Competition brought together photographers of anything small once again. Baby octopuses, amoebae, sea urchin eggs, mosquito-eating fungi, parasitic pinworms and liquid crystal all showed what goes on in worlds too tiny for the human eye to perceive.
