Sugababes star Siobhan Donaghy gives birth to her first child – and shares cute baby picture from hospital

Sugababes founding member Siobhan Donaghy has given birth to her first child.

The ‘Overload’ singer announced the arrival of her baby boy via Instagram on Friday night, sharing a beautiful image of herself cradling the newborn child.

His name is Ford Charles McCoy and he arrived in the world on Sunday, August 13, weighing 6lbs 13oz.

Siobhan, 33, posted a picture from her hospital bed after the birth, showing her cradling her tiny son.

“Welcome to the world, little man,” she captioned the snap.

She was inundated with congratulatory messages from fans and friends, wishing her well and sharing their excitement at the singer becoming a mum.

One follower wrote: “Congratulations!! Having a baby boy is the best!! Gorgeous name too.”

Another said: “Wow this is the best news ever today! Congratulations Siobhan!!! You have so many amazing moments ahead.”

A third added: “Congratulations Siobhan, so beautiful, you and your baby. Blessings to your whole family.”

Siobhan announced her pregnancy in April, by sharing a post to Instagram showing her cradling a blossoming baby bump.

She added: “Working on a little something for the summer.”

Siobhan married husband Chris McCoy in 2013, with guests in attendance including former Sugababes bandmate Keisha Buchanan.

Keisha shared a picture from the ceremony at the time showing her hugging Siobhan.

She told fans: “The most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen! Siobhan I’m so proud of u, Love u 2 bits! Chris ur amazing! Mr & Mrs MccCoy! (sic)”

Siobhan shot to fame with the Sugababes in 1998.

Along with Keisha and Mutya Buena they released debut album One Touch, featuring singles Overload and Run For Cover.

Siobhan left the group in 2001 to work on solo music, releasing two albums, Revolution In Me and Ghosts, before rejoining Keisha and Mutya to form MKS.
