Robert Pattinson Responds to Trump's Tweets About Kristen Stewart Cheating on Him

Robert Pattinson is finally sharing his thoughts on President Donald Trump‘s tweets about his ex Kristen Stewart cheating on him (though he wasn’t president at the time).

If you recall, back in 2012, Trump tweeted (11 times!) about Kristen cheating on her Twilight co-star, starting with, “Robert Pattinson should not take back Kristen Stewart. She cheated on him like a dog & will do it again–just watch. He can do much better!”

Kristen has since spoken out about the incident and even joked about the tweets in her Saturday Night Live opening monologue, afterward claiming that she was disappointed Trump didn’t respond.

Robert laughed when asked about the tweets during his recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, stating, “I think there’s so many different levels of it. Your identity exists on many different planes at the same time and they all can be quite different from each other.”

“When [Trump] said that, it didn’t really mean anything,” Robert added. “But I guess now I’m sort of thinking, like, ‘Well, I guess that is related to me.’ But how does that fit in with all the other things going on in my life? And sometimes you think, ‘Can I use this in my acting? Or should I be putting it away.’ It’s kind of interesting, I guess. I don’t know — this could be why people get annoyed with me.”
