Recently, Reese appeared on THR‘s podcast to talk about her Emmy nomination for Big Little Lies, and responded to being referenced as a “has-been” by a New Yorker writer back in 2012.

“Someone in The New Yorker said that I was ‘a has-been’ or my career was over, and I remember thinking — how old was I in 2012, like 36? — I was like, ‘Wow, that’s brutal!’ That really bugged me,” Reese declared.
