More images of the Moto X4 confirm our earlier exclusive leak
It was a week ago that we brought you exclusive renders of the upcoming Moto X4. Today, we have two more images of the phone.
While many feared that Motorola’s midrange X line-up was discontinued in favor of the Moto Z range, we started seeing signs of its return earlier this year. A few weeks ago, we got a glimpse of the yet-to-be-announced Moto X4 in chic black, and just one week ago, we brought you official renders of the device thanks to our exclusive source. Well, another day, another leak, right? Courtesy of Google+ user Jerry Yin, we now have two live images of upcoming midranger in Sterling Blue:
As we previously stated, the Moto X4 will come with a contoured glass design with special coating, not unlike what Samsung did with recent Galaxy flagships and HTC with the U11. On the front, we have a 5.2-inch Full HD LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, a 16-megapixel selfie-shooter, and a pill-shaped fingerprint scanner. On the back is a dual-lens camera, which sees a 12MP main camera with dual autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and 1.4µm pixel size paired with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 1.12µm pixel size and 120-degree field of view. The camera comes with dual-LED flash, Phase Detection Autofocus and the ability to add depth of field effects, like most other dual camera devices (i.e. Moto Z2 Force).
If you’re looking for a well-built phone that’s both affordable and pure in terms of software experience, the Moto X4 might be the device to get this year.
Motorola’s upcoming midranger will be powered by Snapdragon 630 and a 3,000 mAh battery. In Europe, North America and Latin America, the handset will come with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, while in the Asia Pacific region, the Moto X4 will come with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
As we saw from previous leaks, the Moto X4 seems to continue Motorola’s new design language – for better or worse – and if you’re looking for a well-built phone that’s both affordable and pure in terms of software experience, the Moto X4 might be the device to get this year. Although its availability, pricing, and release date are still unknown, the official announcement is only few days away, so stay tuned!
