J.K. Rowling Has Perfect Response to a Twitter Mansplainer

Celebrated author J.K. Rowling supported a fellow female author who was mansplained to on Twitter, and it was quite the classy and perfect response.

First-time author Laura Kalbag shared that she was having her very first book published. Then, German typographer Erik Spiekermann replied to her tweet saying, “Actually, you wrote a text. It took a few other people & skills to make that into a book.” It appears as if the original tweet has been deleted.

Meanwhile, J.K. noticed the tweet when Twitter users started calling Erik out for his choice of words.

“Congratulations on writing your first book, Laura,” J.K. tweeted at the first-time author. “Other people edited, copyedited, proofread, printed and bound it. You wrote. Be proud x.”

Erik has since apologized for the tweet he sent out.
