GMB’s Kate Garraway reveals hubby asked her if she was having an affair with Jeremy Kyle
Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway and stand-in host Jeremy Kyle have been presenting partners for the past two weeks as they’ve been standing in for Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.
But after the pair almost kissed on last week’s show Kate admitted on Monday’s show that her hubby Derek Draper asked her if she was having an affair with Jezza!
The 50-year-old told co-hosts Jeremy and Charlotte Hawkins that she had to assure Derek that there was nothing going on between her and Jeremy, 52.

The trio were discussing what Kate did for Derek’s birthday when Kate made the revelation.
Kate explained that she didn’t know what to get Derek for a present and the rumours that she was having an affair with Jeremy didn’t go down too well either.
She said: “It didn’t go well. I couldn’t think of what to get him.
“It did kick off though because that was combined with Jeremy and I nearly kissing by accident on air. The Sun were saying that we were having an affair.”
Charlotte then said: “What’s been going on in my absence?! How did you nearly kiss?”
To which Jeremy leaned in towards Kate and said: “I don’t know, how did we nearly kiss?” before Kate started giggling.
She said: “Don’t start again, it’s taken me five days to calm him down at home!”
Jezza then jumped in saying: “Oh so he actually was upset?”
“[Derek] was like ‘are you actually having an affair?'” Kate revealed.
Jeremy was quick to slam the rumours as he added: “Oh Derek come on, it’s only a job! It’s called chemistry, deal with it!”
Kate said: “It could be a double bluff,” before quickly adding: “I’m only joking I adore Derek.”
Jezza admitted: “I adore him too,” before Kate said: “Maybe you two are having an affair, who knows!”
Last week the pair nearly kissed live on air after discussing people’s perceptions of them both.
Jeremy told his co-host: “You said something really interesting this morning – that people think I’m rude and I’m not, and people think you’re really nice and you’re right grumpy.”
“That’s true actually,” replied Kate, before looking at the camera and saying: “He’s very polite in real life.”
Jeremy then leaned in towards Kate, which she wasn’t expecting, and as she turned her head towards him they almost locked lips.
The pair quickly returned to their original positions, and as Kate closed her eyes with embarrassment, Jeremy apologetically said: “We nearly kissed then. That was wrong, wasn’t it.”
Meanwhile, on today’s show it was announced that Charlotte is the eleventh Strictly contestant to take to the dance floor.
After teasing viewers at the start of the show Charlotte announced the big news.
She said: “The breaking news is we can announce the 11th contestant to join Strictly is … me!”
Speaking to Kate, who also did the dancing show, she said: “I’ll be getting some tips – you can show me some steps.”
