Former Britain’s Got Talent child star Connie Talbot has really blossomed

She’s best known for being the totally adorable gap-toothed six-year-old who won the nation’s heart on the first series of Britain’s Got Talent in 2007.

Now 10 years on the little star has grown into a stunningly gorgeous teenager and recently celebrated her 16th birthday.

Since her BGT days the youngster has released FIVE albums with her recent one, Matters To Me, released only last year.

The teen shared this selfie on her Instagram account showing off her long blonde locks and stunning blue eyes.

Connie found fame when she appeared on the talent show when she was just six. She made it through to the final but missed out on the winning spot to Opera singer Paul Potts.

The star wowed the judges, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan, with her incredible vocals even leaving Amanda in tears.

Singing Over The Rainbow on stage in front of thousands the little girl oozed confidence.

And it definitely paid off because she ended up signing with Rainbow Recording Company to release her debut album in November 2007.

And her singing career has continued to blossom.

As well as five albums the little star has her own YouTube channel, where she performs covers of songs and others which she has written herself. The channel has over 1 million subscribers.

Earlier last year Connie released her 13-track album, Matters To Me, and was a huge hit with her fans.

Back in May this year Connie reunited with X Factor boss Simon as she sang to Shooting Star Chase, a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

Smiling alongside Simon, Connie wrote: “It was a pleasure singing for Shooting Star Chase this afternoon. An incredible charity ❤.”

During her audition 10 years ago Simon branded Connie “fantastic” and was shocked that such a powerful voice came from such a little girl.

He said at the time: “Was that really you singing?”

Last year Connie appeared on ITV’s Loose Women to talk about what she’s been up to since her BGT days.

She revealed at the time that she was taking her GCSE’s and working on music on the side.

When asked if she would ever return to the show that made her a sensation overnight, she admitted: “Probably as a guest that would be amazing, but probably not as a contestant no.”
