Fans confuse Adam Thomas for Liam Payne in latest selfie

Former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas has sent fans wild with his latest selfie.

Of course it was his good looks which sent them into a frenzy, but they were also convinced he looks the spitting image of former One Direction singer Liam Payne.

In the snap Adam, 28, showed off his curly locks and stubble as he looked away from the camera.

He could definitely pass as Liam’s doppelganger.

The soap hunk captioned the post: “When your mrs tells you to lose weight and get a hair cut and you just sit there questioning life eating a biscuit.”

But it seems most of his devoted fans were more focused on the fact that he looked like Liam’s double.

One fan commented: “You remind me of @liampayne in this one.”

Another agreed: “My god you look like Liam Payne here.”

A fourth gushed: “You look like Liam Payne ❤️.”

“Blimey when I first glanced at this photo I thought it was Liam Payne from 1D,” another added.

Adam’s former co-star and pal Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle in the soap, also commented on the snap. But not about the fact he looks like the singer.

He actually decided to poke fun at Adam about the caption he wrote.

Danny wrote: “I’m just thinking.. ‘Where does he get his hair cut? Where is the Mrs he talks about?

“Why is his hair so unwaxed? Is he about to post a picture of a new hair wax that sorts his hair out? Why’s he so mysterious? Why is he so fit? And where is this biscuit he talks about?'”

Some time this month Adam will be tying the knot with his fiancee Caroline Daly, who he’s been with for eight years.

Adam, who plays Adam Barton in the Dales, popped the question to Caroline during a family holiday in Dubai last year.

The couple have one child together – Teddy, two.

Speaking about the proposal Adam told OK! Magazine: “On the day I was going to propose, Caroline described her perfect engagement ring and it was exactly the same as the one I had bought.

“I thought she’d seen the ring – I was absolutely gutted.”

The I’m A Celebrity… star celebrated his stag do in Ibiza last month with his closest pals and family including brother Ryan Thomas, of Coronation Street fame, EastEnders’ Dean Gaffney, ex Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher and Danny.

The lads enjoyed a wild few days soaking up the sun on the Spanish isle alongside a bunch of their other friends.

Dean, who plays Robbie Jackson in the BBC soap, uploaded a photo of all the lads in a bar on the island.

With their sunnies on and drinks firmly in their hands the lads seemed to be having an amazing time.

Dean captioned the post: “Lads Lads Lads.”

Before jetting off to the party island, Adam and brothers Ryan and Scott dressed up as characters from BBC’s Waterloo Road – which Adam starred in when he was younger.

In the pic Adam’s twin Scott, 28, and Ryan, 33, wore matching black curly haired wigs with shirts and ties.

Meanwhile Adam, who played schoolboy Donte in the series, looked very feminine in a long blonde wig and bright red lipstick as he dressed up as on-screen girlfriend Chlo.

Scott shared the funny photo on Instagram as he wrote: “One Donte, One Chlo and One Scouser from the Harry Enfield show! “Calm down, Calm down!!” Ibiza get ready!  @ryanthomas84@adamthomas21 #ifyoudontgetthejokeresearchwaterlooroad.”

Writing on Twitter after his wild stay in Ibiza, Adam said: “On a stag do, just so happens to be mine. Crazy! Feel like I’ve just picked up my GCSEs like, yesterday, and next month I’ll be a married man.”
