10 best couples apps for Android
Most app lists are for individual use. Smartphones can be great for couples as well. It’s really just a selection of apps that can be useful for more than one person. In reality, it’s a difficult subject to broach. Couples need different things. They have different styles and do different things together. Thus, we tried to keep a lighter touch with this piece. We’ll also name some alternatives in case the ones we list don’t work. Here are the best couples apps for Android.
Amazon is a great app for couples. You may want to buy your significant other something nice. It's a good place to go shopping for shared hobbies. Couples living together can even use it to stock up on household goods. There are other shopping apps. However, few, if any, have the width and depth for a topic as broad and generic as couples apps. Those who have very specific shared hobbies may be able to find more specialized stores for their needs.
Eat24 is a food delivery app. It's a great way to pick up some decent food without leaving the house. You may find that useful if you're spending the day in bed for whatever reason. Eat24 is one of several services that delivery food. Grubhub and UberEATS are other popular options. No matter who you go with, these apps can be great for sharing a meal without having to cook it or go get it yourself. It's perfect for those lazy days at home.
Eventbrite helps people discover local events. This is a great app for couples who want to have a night out on the town and don't know what to do. It'll show festivals, concerts, large get togethers of various types, classes, and more. It'll also show free events for those couples on a budget. There are other apps that can do this as well. Facebook has a fairly robust events platform. However you do it, having an app that gives you quick info about events in your area can make planning a date night easier.
Google's app is a bit of a cheap pick, we know. It can do or find pretty much whatever you want. You can set reminders, find events, look up something to settle an argument, check out movies (and movie times), and a whole lot more. It's one of the better all-around couples apps. You can use it for reminders to take out the garbage or make sure that latest movie doesn't have a 0% Rotten Tomatoes rating before going to see it. In some regions, you can even use it to order food.
Note taking apps make for excellent couples apps. Google Keep is probably the best one available. It's free and it syncs between devices. You can also add your significant other to notes for you two to share. It's useful for things like grocery lists, date night ideas, pros and cons lists, and whatever else. Personally, I use mine to keep track of Christmas gift ideas. Pretty much any note taking app will work. However, Keep strikes a good balance between usefulness and minimalism.
We both knew an app like this was coming. New and old couples alike can find use for an app like this. It helps spice things up in the bedroom. New positions and styles can make things a little more fun. Don't worry, there are similar style apps for gay couples as well. Just search through Google Play. They're not difficult to find. This particular app comes with the basics for free. You can purchase additional sets of positions for various nominal fees.
The inevitable Netflix and chill reference was coming. In reality, any streaming service can be great for couples. You find a few shows you both like. That always gives you something to watch when you're hanging out. The streaming service depends on your tastes. Those who like current TV may want to go with something like SlingTV while anime and indie fans may want to go with VRV or YouTube. There's more video stuff out there than you can shake a stick at. It shouldn't be too hard finding a few shows you both like.
OpenTable is an app for discovering new restaurants. It has a bunch of restaurants that you can find. Additionally, it lets you reserve tables at a good number of them. This is tailor made for a classic date night. You can also send invitations straight through the app if needed. There are lots of apps that can help find restaurants. Google Maps is a good one. However, few have the features that OpenTable does. Plus that reservations feature is awesome.
Tasty Recipes is probably one of the most popular food oriented Facebook pages. The app is making its way there. It's probably not the best recipes app you can find. Allrecipes Dinner Spinner is pretty good as well. However, you and your significant other have no doubt seen these videos floating around the web. Now you have an easier place to find and store your favorites. You can see it on Facebook, find it in the app, and then save it for later. That's pretty nifty.
Wunderlist is a to-do list app. It's great for a long of things. You can remind yourself of the time and date of your date night. Couples living together can keep track of things like grocery lists, when the trash needs to be taken to the curb, and all kinds of other chores and events. Most calendar apps and to-do list apps work. However, we really liked that most of the features are available on Wunderlist for free. It's also easy to use and flexible. Don't worry about the subscription. You won't need that for what you'll need it for. It's definitely one of the better couples apps.
