WordPress 4.8 is named “Evans”

Well, it’s only a coincidence that the name ‘Evans’ is one of the most trending names in the Nigerian blogosphere of late. A renowned kidnapper that has perpetrated all forms of evil by kidnapping innocent Nigerians for ransom.

However, version 4.8 of WordPress, named “Evans” is in honor of jazz pianist and composer William John “Bill” Evans, not the Kidnapper.

Maybe a gentle reminder that the name ‘Evans’ should not always remind us of “The Evil Kidnapper”
