Armstrong Bakam, Bauchi
The Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar, on Thursday dissolved the state executive council. However, only the Special Adviser on Security to the Governor, Brig. Gen. Ladan Yusuf (retd.), retained his position.
No official reason was given for the dissolution.
The governor also appointed Alhaji Mohammed Umar as the new Secretary to the State Government.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Mallam Abubakar Al-Sadique, on Thursday in Bauchi.
He said the governor had earlier in the day held an executive council meeting where he announced the dissolution of the cabinet and thanked the commissioners for their contributions to the development of the state.
Al-Sadique, who said the dissolution was with immediate effect, added that “all commissioners and special advisers are affected, except the Special Adviser on Security, Brig.Gen. Ladan Yusuf (retd.), who retains his position.”
He said that Nadada, who was born in Dambam, Bauchi State on December 31st, 1954, had served as the state’s SSG between 1999 and 2006.
